What is Fibrex material?

Fibrex material is proprietary composite that Andersen has designed, developed and implemented into our Renewal By Andersen products. The composite materials combines the strength and stability of wood with the low- maintenance features of vinyl.

Fibrex is two times stronger than that of vinyl. The material insulates 700x better than aluminum. Fibrex materials reduces VOC (Volitile Organic Compound) emissions because no wood preservative treatments or painting is required. Offers long product life cycle while reducing landfill waste. Fibrex retains it's stability and rigidity in all climates. Resists rot and wont corrode. The Fibrex material expands and contracts very little, even with extreme temperature swings. We are able to build windows with narrower frames, giving you more glass area. Unlike vinyl, Fibrex material won't bow or crack. Because Fibrex can take the heat, we're able to offer more dark exterior colors. No more painting or scraping!
